Rebecca Martinez is a writer of adult fantasy whose work centers on fractured identity, betrayal, and tragedy. Drawing on five years of stage acting and a Creative Writing degree from Southern New Hampshire University, she crafts characters  and magic systems that reflect that forces of nature and how powerless people are against gods and monsters, and against people who seek only for their own gain. Her stories feature slow-burn emotional tension and the slow revelation of what people will protect, or destroy, to keep their secrets intact.

Her debut novel follows an amnesiac protagonist navigating a world where life-force itself has begun to behave unpredictably, forcing questions of selfhood, loyalty, and the cost of memory.

Rebecca is currently seeking representation. She plans to submit short fiction to speculative magazines and is also preparing for the possibility of self-publishing selected projects while continuing to develop longer works in collaboration with her partner, a science-fiction writer.
